Either that, or we can follow the way of other religions and become armed, militant zealots who forcibly impose our worldview on the un-Dude. The more we plumb the film's depths, the more we preserve its legacy. And maybe at some point, like other religions, we should also get rich and corrupt and start reinterpreting the original message to suit our own needs.
